General practice across Corowa, Rutherglen, and Howlong. Appointments long enough to be heard, doctors who follow through, and a triage nurse on hand for urgent care.
Now more than ever, it’s important for you to stay healthy. That means keeping up with preventive care and addressing any symptoms or conditions that may have come up over the past few months.
Our doctors consider all aspects of your health and wellbeing when providing care, including the physical, emotional or psychological effects of your condition or treatment.
You can make an appointment by phoning 02 6030 5500 or by booking online. We take bookings Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings from 9am to 1pm.
Standard appointments are 15 minutes.
We understand that you will have a preferred Doctor, and will make every effort to book your appointment with them. However, sometimes this is not possible. In this instance, you will be offered the opportunity to see another Doctor.
If you have routine appointments and want them scheduled with your preferred Doctor, we suggest contacting us well in advance. This will ensure the continuity of care with your preferred Doctor.
You are most welcome to ring us before your appointment to check on a waiting time. We try to keep waiting times to a minimum, however, some consultations can take longer than expected. In these circumstances, our reception staff are happy to inform you of any expected waiting time.
If you think you need extended time with your doctor, please let us know at the time of booking. If you are making a booking to discuss multiple health issues or a mental health assessment, please ask for a long consult. Making the right appointments for your needs will assist the doctor in running on schedule.
We have prescription clinics available for people who just require a script and who have had a face-to-face appointment with their GP in the last 6 months.
If you have an urgent need to see a doctor, we have a Triage Nurse available to help to expedite your treatment. Our triage nurse will assess your condition and prioritise appointments based on urgency. This allows us to allocate urgent appointments more efficiently, ensuring that patients with more critical needs are seen as quickly as possible. If your condition requires immediate attention, the triage nurse will ensure that you are scheduled appropriately, minimising wait times and optimising care.
Home visits are available for patients of this practice under special circumstances. However, we encourage patients to visit the clinic whenever possible, as our facilities are fully equipped to provide a more comprehensive examination and treatment. Attending the clinic ensures that you have access to the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic options, which may not be available during a home visit. If you require a home visit, please contact the practice to discuss your situation, and we will assess your needs accordingly.
Simply contact our receptionists on (02) 6030 5500.
Telehealth appointments are offered to patients upon request. When booking, please ask our friendly reception team if you would like to schedule a Telehealth appointment. While we generally prefer that you visit the practice for an in-person consultation with your doctor, both phone and video Telehealth appointments are available. You can access the video link here
If you need to speak to your Doctor during normal opening hours, you are welcome to contact them by phoning (02) 6030 5500.
If your Doctor is with a patient our receptionists will take a message and forward it to your Doctor. Your Doctor will then contact you when available.
If your call is urgent you will be put through to the Practice Nurse.
If you are expecting a phone call from a doctor, it will most likely be at the end of the day
Any fees for your consultation are payable at the time of your visit.
Payment can be made by cash, cheque, eftpos or credit card.

To treat you correctly, your Doctor will sometimes need to send you to have tests. The delivery of the results of these tests can vary, dependent on what type of test it is.
Your Doctor will advise you when your test or diagnoses results are expected to arrive. You can then call the practice Monday to Friday, on (02) 6030 5500, and speak to our friendly reception staff who will take a message for our nurses to return your call, to find out your results.

Redgum Medical Group runs two antenatal clinics designed to keep pregnancy care close to home, reducing travel, time, and out-of-pocket cost.
Our Midwife-led Clinic is bulk billed and open to all residents of Corowa, Rutherglen, and Howlong. Care is provided by Bec, our Midwife Nurse Practitioner.
Our GP Obstetrician-led Clinic runs every Wednesday with Dr Sally Smith and Dr Antoinette Del Popolo, and is available for patients planning to deliver at Wodonga or Wangaratta Hospitals. Appointments are scheduled around hospital antenatal visits, so most of your care can happen locally.
Patients of other medical centres are welcome at either clinic. We keep your usual GP informed and hand your care back after birth.
For all enquiries please call the clinic. All messages will be taken by the reception team and sent through to the doctor or nurse. Urgent matters will be put to a doctor at all times.
We are able to receive enquiries via email; however, this is not a regularly monitored service, so it is for non-urgent administrative purposes only.
We send messages to remind patients of upcoming appointments or regular recalls such as cervical screening. Please let reception know if you do not want to receive them.
Telephone calls will be returned as soon as practicable. If you are expecting a phone call from a doctor, it will most likely be at the end of the day.
